Leadership Accomplishments

During their time at the CCSNJ, DiLorenzo and Davis positioned the organization as the voice of the South Jersey business community in Trenton.

  • Developed the Chamber’s reputation as a thought leader on public policy initiatives by providing thorough, well-researched positions on issues impacting the region and members.

  • Built communication platforms to supply information to members, key stakeholders and policymakers on issues, legislation and regulation.

  • In 2016, played key roles in two major issues impacting southern New Jersey:  defeated the expansion of gaming outside of Atlantic City by forming the grass roots “No North Jersey Casinos” coalition; and led the effort for the reinstatement of New Jersey’s reciprocal income tax agreement with Pennsylvania.

  • Formed the CCSNJ’s Board Council on Responsible Government Spending in 2005 and researched, wrote and released over a four-year period, three reports containing more than 100 recommendations which if implemented represents $1 billion in taxpayer savings.

  • Strengthened the Chamber’s commitment to developing a skilled, trained workforce by adopting and expanding the South Jersey Summer Institute for Educators in 1996.

This unique award-winning program is designed to provide area teachers with a better understanding of the businesses that comprise the regional economy, insight into the operations of those businesses, and the skills and characteristics needed by the future workforce to be successful.  More than 600 educators have graduated from the program.

  • Earned ISO 9001 certification in 2005, putting into place a comprehensive quality management system consisting of dozens of processes that ensure the Chamber consistently serves its members with excellence, while providing a path for continuous improvement.  CCSNJ is the first and only Chamber in the country to have earned this international designation.
